Education / Awareness Campaign

Establish a community outreach program by working with a cadre of Promotores de Salud trained on environmental health education for the prevention of environmental contamination. The Promotores de Salud will provide Train-the-Trainer education to a total of 5,000 elementary school ages children from each side of the border.

Education / Awareness Campaign's Objectives:

Train Community Outreach Workers/Promotoras de Salud in the importance of recycling and prevention of illegal dumping.
Provide Environmental health and Recycling Education to volunteer students from both sides of the border that will extend to 10,000 elementary students from both sides of the border.
Provide information about recycling materials, recycling centers and landfills in our community, and tips for recycling at home.
Motivate students to create Eco-Artistic works.
